You can play through Medieval Merchants's campaign on your own or open it up to other Game Center members who're playing on an iPhone, an iPad, or even a Mac. Your aim is to compete for power and valuable trade goods fend off pirates who'll scupper your plans and become the mayor of Lübeck - a North German harbour town that's receiving the biggest share of the trading action. Set in Northern Europe during the early period of the 14th century, Medieval Merchants follows a rising power known as the Hanseatic League, who've set up numerous trade routes between London and Novgorod. If, much like Pocket Gamer's very own Will Wilson, you enjoy spending countless hours in front of your PC playing titles like Patrician III and Anno 1503, you'll probably be interested in Medieval Merchants - a forthcoming cross-platform simulation for iOS and Mac.
